Mac - no I don't have any info on the marriage, so her maiden name would be Conlan? That ould tie in ith the first birth I have noted as Henry in 1889. Do you know the district?

Desperately seeking help with Katherine Trowbridge! b1892 d1958

I'm trying to find some information about my Grandfather William Sims' family. Unfortunately my Grandfather died before I was born and he was an only child so I have no one to ask for further info.

His name was William Alfred George Sims born on 12/05/1920 Islington, his parents were William Sims born in 1892 Islington and Katherine Sims(nee Trowbridge) They were married in 1913 Islington. From what I've been told my Grandfather as an only child, has he did have an older sister but she died at birth, but I havew not yet found a record for this and have no name.

The information I am seeking relates to Katherine Trowbridge as I have been told a lot of information and seem to have lots of contradicting information. It doesn't help that she's also been known as Kate, Kit and Catherine spelt with a 'C!'

The info I have so far is:

Katherine Alice Trowbridge was born in 1892 in Islington.
From her marriage certificate I have found her father is George Augustus Trowbridge and he was an Iron Driller.
Her mother from what I have been told is Irish.

The problems I am having are identifying all her brothers and sisters as I have found the above on the census but I have been told by my mother's cousins who met some of them that there are more!
They believe there as Victor, Ernest, Alfred, Charlie, Jinny and another sister named 'Sissy?' As well as others that died young possibly in the ar.

Can anyone help confirm the siblings to Katherine and her parents? And does anyone know if 'Sissy' is short for something or if it is a name?

Any help would be much appreciated as I can't seem to see many recent posts for Trowbridge
