Interesting - I dismissed the 1886 baptism as Albert Edward's father is descrbed as a shoe maker, NOT a violinist as he is in 1901, but the baptism date as pointed out by Margaret M is the same (23rd Feb 1886) as that provided in the bibliographic details by Woody.

So I eat a dose of humble pie!

It just seemed too great a leap from Shoemaker to Violinist

Nora Louisa born 1 Oct 1887 and Henry born 7 Sept 1889 were both baptized on same day (25 Oct 1889) parents Thomas and Annie Sammons.
Thomas' occupation was Shoe Maker and they were living at 73 Moon Park Rd. Perhaps Thomas became a violinist later?

Kucinta Report 18 Dec 2010 18:19

Unlikely to be the Albert Edward Sammons baptised 24 March 1886, St. Clements, Notting Hill.

THAT Albert Edward was son of Thomas and Annie, but father Thomas was a shoemaker, not a violinist.

Census 1901 shows Thomas Sammons Sr and jr to be violinists.
