As Davies is one of the most common names in wales it could be difficult.!!
If a reletive is the informant you may get a lead. I am wondering where you found out his death from as he hasd'nt been seen since the 40s according to your earlier post, so have you been told his exact date of birth from someone?

i keep making new threads by mistake,anyway it appears walter died in camarthen on may 2001,does anybody know how i might find him or a relative

You need to buy the birth certificate for his birthday.

walter was born 1915 on marriage cert to dorothy hague .who he married in april 1942.his brother henry i suspect born 1917 cross checked mothers maiden name as bevan.possibly mary.they divorced not to long after. walter never seen again,can anybody help find my granddad

This looks like the only Walter Davies born in Salford in 1915:
Births Jun 1915
Davies Walter Bervan Salford 8d 128
and perhaps the Bervan is just in error and should be Bevan.
If you get the certificate, with the correct father, then you will have the actual date of birth. We can then look for deaths using the correct birth date.
(Or do you already know his birthday as it is your grandfather?)

The address on the marriage cert is for the bride and Groom not the fathers, but that does'nt mean to say he did'nt live there aswell
