"yes my grandmother is called hannah elizabeth hudspith born in
1896 died in 1977 so im looking for my grandmothers maiden name please".

Sandra - . Hudspith WAS Hannah Elizabeth's maiden name. (she later became Mrs Bishop)

Do you mean you are looking for your GREAT grandmother's maiden name ?

If you get Hannah's birth certificate, her mother's miaden name will be on that.

Hudspith Hannah Elizabeth - Tynemouth 10b 300

Would suggest you get her brother's birth cert to see if she was indeed Mary Percy

Sandra can you confirm that Hannah's mother was Mary Elizabeth ?

There is this marriage same quarter has Hannah was born but there's a groom missing from the list ( should be an even number)

It would explain why there was no maiden name if she was still single at the time Hannah was born.

Mind you, unless she married another Hudspith ..... ???

Taking census info supplied by MarieCeleste, Mary Elizabeth Hudspith gives her birthplace c1868 as Bedsie.
Mary Elizabeth Percy's birthplace c1868 is given as Horton...

HORTON is a parochial chapelry comprising the townships of BEBSIDE. Cowpen, Hartford East, Hartford West, and Horton,

Looks to be the same person
