	Bit of a coincidence with a name like Stovold. also the fact that their first child was born 1845 What info on that marriage cert led you to believe it was the wrong couple.?

Member Since: March 2008 Posts: 12 Send Message	Is anyone able to look up parish records for a marr in St Marys, Portsea, Hants? Thomas Baker & Lucy Stovold - 22 July 1844. I would like to know who the witnesses were please. I have a print out from IGI but it doesn't give this info. I have also looked on opc, but this period is not transcribed yet. Thank you in advance. Hi, I'm new to this - sorry if this message appears twice but my first attempt doesn't seem to have worked. I am trying to find birth & marr of Thomas Baker. He was born 1813-1820 in either Mountsorrel or Syston, Leics (he kept changing his mind on the census). The first record I have of him is 1841 census when he was in Godalming Surrey. In 1851 he was in Elstead, Surrey with "wife" Lucy (Stovold). I have not been able to find their marriage, which would have given me his father's name. I have checked some parish birth records for Mountsorrel (no Bakers at all) & Syston (some Bakers but no Thomas). Thanks in advance for any help you are able to give.
