Birth place does look more like Lincolnshire than Lanarkshire on the actual image.

Can you post the 1861 census that you have found please?

Do you know when he was actually born?

Had another look at 1891 census - he was born in 1820.

I have looked on the 1891 census to find James Mills born 1819 living in Shropshire and I cannot find him.

Can you give more information. I cannot find Sarah Love in the 1861 census either?

I'm trying to find out what happened to Sarah Love from Skirling, near Peebles, Lanarkshire, born around 1835 who married my widowed Gt.Gt. Grandfather, James Mills, in 1864 in West Bromwhich. I found her on a census in 1861, a hawker and lodger aged 26 along with 2 of my Gt. Gt Grandfather's daughters. After that, apart from their marriage, 3 years later she disappears. He reappears in 1891 in Shropshire as a widower, though he was much older being born in 1819.
I tried to find her on herebefore but thought that she was from Lincolnshire, so I appologise for that.
Any help appreciated.
