Forget Ethelbert!!.....it looks as if he died in 1967

I suppose if he was named Ethelbert he may have a pet name,
could he use that name on registering a childs birth.

Pinnington, Pennington, Frederick, Freddy and Fred its all very confusing, I think his mother was Sophia Howard as his daughter was reg. Cissie Sophia Pinnington.

If Frederick was born in Stockton Heath, the registration district would be Runcorn.

Can't seem to find a birth in Runcorn under either Pinnington or Pennington for Frederick. Perhaps he had a "pet name"

The death cert will give you the name of the person who registered the death, but not parents. The birth cert will give you the names of his parents.
