Gerald there are no births that match that. You really need her marriage cert if you are serious about tracing the family.

(Never pay more than £9 25 for a cert)

Gerald Report 22 Jan 2011 19:07

Again the name was given the name Thomas as Sarahs maiden name verbally but it could be wrong I found the above marriage searching Free b.m.d.

I was verbally given the name Sarah Francis Williams and the date 14th February 1898, by a member of the family but they did dither a
bout the year, so it looks like I may be on the wrong track altogether.
Sarah F Williams married Thomas Owen Pemberton in 3rd quarter of 1921 at Toxteth P ark L iverpool 1921 this is the only definite fact I seem to have.Gerald

Gerald is the surname Thomas from the birth cert of Sarah? If not where from.

I looked again at the 1911 for the family in Anglesey with wife Maggie,

Next to Elizabeth Roberts is actually written step mother in law and then the step is crossed out

Gerald

Gerald Report 22 Jan 2011 18:40

Sorry so long in answering if I have the correct marriageit was
Mary Ann Thomas 1889 Liverpool Lancashire
John Richard Williams 1889 Liverpool Lancashire
(1837-1934)

RutlandBelle Report 22 Jan 2011 17:27

by the way I think you will see that his place of birth in 1901 is a mistranscription

it should be : Llanfechell (Amlwch, Anglesey)

and Cemais is actually spelled Cemaes

RutlandBelle

RutlandBelle Report 22 Jan 2011 17:19

Gerald if you are about, where did you get the name Sarah Francis Williams born 1898, Anglesey?
I cna't see a birth that matches that name at all.

RutlandBelle

RutlandBelle Report 22 Jan 2011 16:55

Hatton Hannah Toxteth Park 8b 469

>>Williams John Richard Toxteth Park 8b 469

Maureen

RutlandBelle

MaureeninNY Report 21 Jan 2011 19:10

Argh! This is so annoying! The Williams family in 1901 are living at 74 Allington St Toxteth Park. I've been trying to find it in 1911 just in case and I can't.
Fine.
But what's driving me up the wall is from Ancestry:
1911 England Census Summary Books about Miss Williams
Name: Miss Williams
Number of Males: 1
Number of Females: 3
Household schedule number: 320
Street address: 76 Allington Street
Civil Parish: Toxteth Park
Ecclesiastical parish: Toxteth Park St Michael
County/Island: Lancashire
Country: England
Registration district: Toxteth Park
Registration District Number: 4
Sub-registration district: Toxteth Park East
Sub-Registration District Number: 4
ED, institution, or vessel: 18
Source Citation: Class: RG78; Piece: 1317

I'd really like to see that entry but it's escaping me entirely.
Edit: By "that entry" I mean the corresponding one on FMP or similar.)
Anyone????

Maureen

RutlandBelle

RutlandBelle Report 21 Jan 2011 19:03

Thanks Gerald for that.

It seems odd that there should be 2 John Williams , both from Anglesey, both similar age and both Marine engineers.

I wonder if he had 2 families??

In 1901 the Maggie Williams, child and mother Elizabeth Roberts that Jan found are in Anglesey but John is not with them.

but there is that other one in Toxteth with Mary Ann and child Sarah.
