After speaking to family members I think the name she used was betty campbell but she was casey at birth I know she had 2 sons but unsure of married name, I have found a marriage in swansea for a betty m campbell in early 1954 who married a Brynley G Morgan but not sure it is her, after living in newzealand she moved to australia. Any info would be great thank you

This is extremely confusing!

Elizabeth Agnes Casey now has nothing to do with this?

http://www.ryersonindex.org/

There are two death notices for people named Betty M Morgan

MORGAN Betty Margaret Death notice 16JUL1971 Death at Canberra, late of Ainslie, ACT, formerly of Strathfield Sydney Morning Herald 17JUL1971
MORGAN Betty May Death notice 15NOV1995 Death 61 late of Alexandria Daily Telegraph (Sydney) 17NOV1995

Age 61 in 1995 wouldn't match with a 1924 birth. The other gives no age.

There's no death notice in that database for Brynley Morgan.

But this looks possibly promising:

http://www.findmypast.co.uk/passengerListPersonSearchStart.action

MORGAN Brynley 1929 M 1959 Southampton Australia Melbourne

Travelling with were a Margaret 1932 and another adult and two children. I won't put the details here as they may relate to living people; search for Morgan travelling in 1929 Southampton to Melbourne with Brynley Morgan:

http://www.findmypast.co.uk/passengerListPersonSearchStart.action

However, the children don't seem to match with any birth with mother's surname Campbell or Casey.

You would really need to get that marriage certificate to see whether it is the person you're looking for.

As you can see JC the info given at the start was incorrect. Why it was'nt deleted I dont know?

I looked up that Morgan marriage earlier and noticed she was poss a divorcee.

Betty did'nt have a middle name as far as I can remember...but that does'nt stop anyone from adding one I suppose.

You're very right jax -- I hadn't gone that far on the marriage.

I found the first marriage, and the Betty Campbell who married Morgan was born with a completely different surname and first married in 1939, so I think that rules her right out.

Thank you both so much for all your help. its beens a nightmare trying to sort out this side of my family. After reading both your replies I am a bit confused (easy for me lol) do you think any of the above are related to me and should i still get a copy of the marriage certificate? Any advice would be very much appreciated. Many thanks

Nope, they seem to be completely unrelated, unfortunately.

The Elizabeth Casey who emigrated (on page 1 of the thread) was a Casey by marriage.

The Betty Campbell who married Morgan was a Campbell by marriage.

So that leaves you going back to the drawing board, looking for someone with one of two possible common names under an unknown married name. It's a tough one indeed and we aren't coming up with any good ideas.

Thank you Janey, is it possible that the Betty campbell who married morgan was originaly casey, Thanks again for all your input and time put into this puzzle. Liz

No, Betty who married Morgan had an entirely different surname -- as I put above, her first marriage was in 1939, so she was too old to be your Betty anyway.
