Was it a second marriage for Angus please?

I can't pick him up on the 1841 or 1851 living with his mother. In fact there are very few McInnes in Ayrshire at that time never mind Kilmarnock. Are you sure it is Kilmarnock please? McInnes isn't normally associated particularly with Ayrshire. The fact that he married in Inverness-shire is more in keeping with the surname.

Kilmorack (Scottish Gaelic: Cill Mhòraig) is a small hamlet in Inverness-shire, in the Highlands of Scotland and now in the Highland Council area. It is situated on the north bank of the River Beauly, 3 miles west of Beauly and 15 miles west of the city of Inverness.

I think you wont find any census records on GR because you need Scottish census.
Do you know when Archibald and Catherine married?

Glenda Report 7 Feb 2011 06:55

I am Trying to find info on Archibald and Catherine and their family.
Their son married Jane Miller in Inverness 23/5/1854, then came to Australia in 1855.
On the ships records states that he was born in Kilmarnock (c 1813) and that in 1855 his father was deceased but mother still living in Kilmarnock!!
Have not been able to find any records on GR censes for 1851.
Living in Australia it is hard to know where to look. Hoping that someone can help, please.
Glenda.
