Okay, I have found a possible marriage for Mary J C Long in 1934, Paddington to Frederick G Templar

Also found the 3 births, one male and two female.

Just off to see if can find a marriage!

On the birth cert it says they were residing at 67 Fermoy Rd, Paddington Central.

@Edward - I have spoken with Grasmere. They only gave me Kay's contact details and confirmed his death date and that he was cremated. (Kay's the executor but not family). Kay doesn't want to give me his niece's details (she confirmed the niece is his next of kin)

@Mike - I'm not sure if the sister was older or younger... but if they married in 1909 - 7 years before he was born, then it's likely she was older I'm guessing...

Does anyone have any idea how I could find out his sister's name? I haven't had much luck searching the census etc, but I am brand new to all of this...

PS does anyone know how to search past white pages or yellow pages online?

No marriage that is obvious, however I have done a search for the youngest child Catherine on BT Numbers using Middlesex as a location and a phone number is showing!!

Elizabeth, will Grasmere tell you the name of his solicitor? Assuming your father made a will, there could be information in that which is of interest.

I just want to thank you all so much!

I just rang my cousin Catherine in London tonight... based on the searches you have done for me and the number provided to me... it was her!!! Amazing! I couldn't have done it without you!!!

She didn't know of me and was a little taken aback I think... and unfortunately she doesn't use the internet or email, and she doesn't know any family history to share with me... And she said she is the only surviving family member to the Long family...

She didn't take my contact details... but she did suggest I could contact her again in future perhaps...

So I intend to write to her... that will give her a chance to think about and digest it. I would love to get to know her...

However, that does mean I'm back to searching other family history on my own... but as Lynne said to me... I'm not alone with a community of you all to help out! :-) Wow, thanks so much!!!

@Edward - I contacted the public trustee who put me on to the probate office... I rang on 14 Feb and it had not been yet lodged at that time... I know who the executor is, but I don't know of his solicitor... hmm, something I could try...
