Thanks for that. It was a bit more for the family I did have. Margaret Pike, Norman Pike comes in some where on the Thomas side. They would be from Victoria, Australia.

Can you tell us where you have made the connection with Pike and Thompson. Also do you have any other on Pike..DOB place of birth etc....

Youre right Cherilyn it wasnt but it looks like it was mentioned on the death of;

Jemima Guhter Thomas


There is a tree on Ancestry that has Philip Gunter Thomas born in 1828 Pembrokeshire Wales and has the same details as I have posted

Joyce it might be worth contacting that tree owner

Ive had a look at the shipping records but they are a bit hit and miss, dont know if you could spot anything Cherilyn?

I think the only way to go now is to order the death cert for Philip Gunter Thomas. Oz certs have so much more info on them than the UK ones

Ah I see, yes Ginny, and I had missed the Welsh connection.

Nothing on immigration, perhaps they were in another state first (or NZ?)
