Richard May 1805 was my g.g.grandfather. He and Maria his wife were both born in the City of London, then in Middlesex county. He was a cheese monger and they lived at 145 Kingsland Road, Shoreditch, Tower Hamlets in 1841 & 1851. They had four children - Richard Bawtree May dob.10 July 1837, Elizabeth Maria 1840, Priscilla 1844 and Maria 1847, all born in Shoreditch. Can anyone go further back than 1805 and tell me where my May family line came from? Many thanks. Rosalind May. |
