when you say you have looked on family search did you mean the general one or the special Lancashire (mainly Manchester) one - different site entirely

yes been there done that Flick........but any how it wouldnt give mothers name with the dates i gave...couldnt find a martha on the general one,what do i type in for manchester one

Many pre-1911 births on Lancsbmd have MMN transcribed........and many pre-1911 marriages have spouse's surname.................worth remembering!

Appologies...i have just been on lancashire bmd...and there was one maiden name entered for 1906.....never knew this

All 3 local offices accept credit cards.
The Chorlton registers are now split between Manchester, Salford & Trafford, depending on where in the district the birth was rego'ed.
(I think the Chorlton on Medlock subdistrict's regos are at Manchester.)

Quoy,yes i have been on there.....nothing showing....but i found another ancestor from the paternal side....
