George Tudor Hall was my great-great uncle. Born in Whitby in 1861, son of Ebenezer Hall, a primitive methodist minister, he lived in Notrhumberland in 1871 and in Glasgow in 1881. He married Kathleen Nairne (have seen the marriage record with Ebenezer's name on it), he is recorded in the 1891 Scotland census as an inmate of Perth jail, but the same census shows Catherine Hall, as wife to Head of House and living in Perth. They next show up in 1901 in Gateshead, after which I have searched Ancestry in vain. Anyone have any lead....? |
