Like I said Nellie was born before marriage on the BMD Bath
she is reistered as Nellie Obrien mother Alice Edmonds then Alice married Patrick and Nellie lived with Alices parents . she never even looked after her 1st child she was not a very nice woman .

Dont think thats right Ozzi ive looked at that one its possible that the spelling could be wron on Obrien as it start as bryan then Obryan then Obrien so im trying all variations .

Thank you. Not sure about John William Ill try and find out where they were living when they died my cousin might know that one .

Hi Ozibird Ive found all of these children on the BMD bath site Nellie was born before marriage . Alice maude edmonds had Nellie , Kate James , Gertrude, Dennis with Patrick John Obrien . Dennis their son died the same year as his father 1908 . Alice went on to Have Frederick ,Walter Weston, and Eliza as a widow . I since found out their father was Walter Weston living next door to the merry widow. Frederick and Eliza bothe died at birth. Until recently I thought I had all the family until a new found cousin told me about William and Albert.

Yes he has known them most of his life He has given me the marriages ,
William John married Kathleen P Manning newton abott 1928
Albert Patrick married Gwen M M Dyer in Totnes 1938 . The only thing we can think is Alice never registered them she was not a very good mother by all accounts placing her children in homes. Gertrude and Kate wer put in a catholic school and I know my father in law who she had after her husband died was put in a home in Bath. My father in law was born in 1913 and she abandoned them all

i can see girl O'briens born Bath who are in school but no males without parent

Where have you found Nellie, Kate & James as I can only find Gertrude, Dennis & Frederick in Bath?

P.S. Presumably you got these names off newly found cousin. Are you sure they're right?

"I cannot find births of the following Albert John Obrien and Albert Patrick Obrien" - not sure what you mean here.

It is unlikely they would have the same first name.

Ive just tried to send an email to the above email address but it not going through so I will write . Now that looks possible I wonder if he was a twin to dennis ? What do you think? the only problem is district was Bristol not Bath. but Ill take a look on the 1901 census for John William now
