Hi Suzanne,

I wouldn't take too much notice of him being down as single as he probably wasn't there at the time which would account for him being named as Michael.

A lot of mistakes happen on these census forms as can be seen by the 1911 census which has Frank and Isabella being married for 22 years....
They also had another child who had died do you know anything about that one Suzanne?

Got Emma Martin's Birth details on Scotlands people confirming parents names and marriage details too. All match my details.

Not checked maggie & marys birth's.

Did check this Michael Martin on the census. Don't think its "my" Francis/Frank as he is listed on the census as single.

Those 1901/1911 irish cenus records are correct too.

Just need to find the whereabouts of Frank Martin in 1901!!!

I wonder if this could possible be Frank?

Right surname, age, occupation and birthplace ......and as he was in Scotland maybe he was known as Mick and the enumerator thought his name was Michael. Just a thought???

Yes Suzanne it will give you both parents including mother's maiden name but make sure you go for Emma first .....

All 3 girls were born in Dalserf / Lanarkshire by the look of it .....

Margaret 1905
Mary 1906

You will need to register with scotlands people(free) and then buy credits to find the record for 1 credit and then 5 to view the image which you can download and print off. I would go for Emma first and then if you want you can get the others.

I've only done a free search so I haven't seen the records or images but there is only 1 Emma Martin born in Scotland between 1900 and 1909.
