Hi, I have looked again at the Albert living in Maiden Kent and it seems he was born there. I looked on the 1901 census to find an Albert in Maiden Kent but the closest i can find is in Hadlow Kent and the father's name is Frank. Is Hadlow near Maiden ?

Kind Regards.

Rachel.

Hi, Thank you for your replies, i have the marriage certificate and it says Albert Parks, age 22, bachelor, porter, address: 100 Rodney Place, Father John Rogue Parks, game keeper

Ethel Emma Kettle, age 21, spinster, laundress, address: 100 Rodney Place, father: William Kettle, Master builder

Witnesses: Thomas Bizzell and H. Barrett..

It definatelly looks like Rogue, it's quite clear to read.

I have looked at the Albert Parks in Maiden Kent but can't seem to find his family as he's living at the barracks. How do i find more info on him ?

Kind Regards.

Rachel.

Albert is a porter, his father John is a Game Keeper.

Both the Bride and Groom gave their address as 100 Rodney Place, Newington.

Witnesses Thomas Bizzell and H (Looks like) Barratt or Barnett or Barnolt.

Hi, i'm having a real problem with finding a birth record for my Grandfather. I don't know any names of siblings and the name given for his father on the marriage certificate is a bit of a mystery. I will give the details i have in the hope some kind person may be able to help.
London, England, Marriages and Banns, 1754-1921 about Ethel Emma Kettle
Name: Ethel Emma Kettle
Age: 21
Estimated birth year: abt 1891
Spouse Name: Albert Parks
Spouse Age: 22
Record Type: Marriage
Event Date: 7 Apr 1912
Parish: St John the Evangelist, Walworth
County: Middlesex
Borough: Southwark
Father Name: William Kettle
Spouse Father Name: John Rogue Parks

My Grandfather died in 1940, age 49, Bournemouth/Poole under the name of Parkes. I think he changed his name from Parks to Parkes soon after his first son was born in 1912.
