Hi Rhoda,

Any news yet regarding the certificates you were sending for on 6th/14th?

Did your dad receive the service records for Arthur Chester Wood that he was sending for ?

I would appreciate an update from you either on this post or via email - as the information you may have from the items above could help me and the extremely helpful and willing members of this site solve the puzzle.

I havent heard anything from you properly since the 11th June.

Ladies hello...
The problems you have been experiencing - the hot matches and board thread prompts are related to a problem we have been having with the site over the last couple of weeks, that has affected a number of members. We have been trying to keep everyone up to date on the progress we have been making, but unfortunately some site problems have been harder to fix than others. We are making great progress though and Phil's blog has tried to explain what has been happening on a regular basis.

Elaine - emails from members are picked up and responded too within 24 hours of opening Monday to Friday. If you have sent an email outside of office hours it will be picked up the following day, or in the case of a Friday night on Monday morning. The team do respond to all emails sent in, and Cynthia recommended you email via the site. Let me know if you don't receive a response on Monday.

As you can imagine I have had a very busy time over the last few weeks and, out of work has been pretty full on too. I haven't made a great deal of progress, and as far as I know Dad hasn't heard anything back yet either. I'll be offline over the next week, but will endeavour to give a progress report when I'm back online.

Thanks very much for your patience on the site issues and my personal tree growth.

Rhoda

Nice to see you back Rhoda. ;-) ;-) ;-)
I have spent a long time looking for answers for you and Elaine.

Please add any facts as you find them. It will all help. Please remember family stories may or may not have a factual base. People's memories get muddled. ;-)
Did you read Otto's probate record?
It is little things that add to the story piece at a time. And that may help to jog somebody's memory.

Hi,

I have found the record of a marriage of Frederick Otto Trautmann in 1909 - in Leicester. I cannot find another person of the same name on the census' and his son was called Oscar.

His wife didnt die until 1927!!! She is recorded as living in the same house as him in the 1911 census???

Hi LK,

Are these also in Leicester? Would you be able to post them on here? [I think I shall have to visit Leicester after all]

I wonder if there was there something 'telling' in her father's will?

Cynthia,

I have received a reply from Genes [below] - I said I would update you!

"We have had a few problems with hotmatches over the last week but this is now fixed please refresh your page and this should now be working.

You may not be receiving any emails concerning these threads if they are not having posting added to them recently, also please check your spam filter incase it is automatically deleting these details from your personal email account.

I hope this helps and please advise us if you need any further assistance."

I have asked them to look at this thread so they can see that it is not just me that is not receiving updates - and that I do understand [even though I am not an IT expert] that I will not receive an email notifying me of an update, if there hasnt been one!!!

lainie39 Report 1 Jul 2011 07:23

I have been looking through the electoral registers for Mansfield. So far I have just found Ella on her own - no sign of Arthur.

In 1930/31 she appears living in the same household as a William Baguley GRAVES until 1936. The address is Redgate Place, Westfield Lane, Mansfield. She records herself as Ella and Helene Grace WOOD up until 1935/36 when she changes her name to Ella Grace Trautman WOOD [the clue I was looking for to know it was her!]

I will look again at the deaths for Arthur Wood to see if these dates point to a particular death in the registers. We know Arthur had died by 1938 because of the marriage record of Doreen.

I looked to see if they were living with his mother in West Bridgford in 1912+1913 [when the first children were born] but can see nothing.
