I think we wanted to know that you had found the marriage and sent information, or found the death and queried the marriage.
So:
pm of marriage sent.
Or:
pm of apparent death.

Sorry Flick but as the OP requested contact via her inbox rather than via a public forum I accordingly obliged. Little point in sending a PM and posting what its content was.

If you have any guidance or information to give to Jane I am sure that she would be grateful to receive it from you via PM as requested.

Welcome to the boards Jane.

Firstly, what a great name to research!

You need to get to know the Freebmd site. This holds entries for births, marriages and deaths from 1837-1950ish. It is free to search. Your grandmother's birth is easy to find, have a go.

i am very new to all this so i'm struggling a bit.
i am trying to find my maternal grand mother Gweneth Mary Stooksbury but i only know her maiden name, i also know that she was from Hackney or i think she was. she had a baby boy Patrick Stooksbury in 1938, June 21, but he was adopted in 17th may 1939 he went to live in Lydney nr. Glosucester with a Wilfred and Evelyn Watkins. Stooksbury is not a common name but i am sooo struggling, if anyone can help or even point me in some direction. i would be very grateful. please inbox me. she maynot be alive now, but i do know she went on to marry my dad's dad, and had more children, (brothers and sisters)
