well I've just been through a shedload of births in Staffs for twenty years after the marriage date and can find no children for Benjamin

interestingly, referring to the name "Bagger", interspersed with Pagetts were Baggots and Piggots!!!

Gavin

Gavin Report 28 Jun 2011 22:27

Thanks Ozi,
not come accross this link yet, after the birth of Benjamin, the Pagets seem to have had a mass exodus from the lichfield area and my line seemed to head for the Telford area, could be needing the additions when I hit my next generation back.
Cheers

In that case the Benjamin found in the censuses may be a more distant relative.

Ann, Ozi and Andy,
Thanks for all your help, my Benjamin was Richard Bagger Pagetts father, I also lucked upon a William and a Benjamin born in 1800 and 1803 respectiveley which I think are of the same parents, should have known that this Benjamin would be an issue, My own Benjamin who is 5 seems to be following on from his namesake.

Cheers

Thanks again Ann,
everyone bang on the money, the last two posts are really close, if I Can make the connection from Benjamin Marrying in 1801, to the Benjamin Born in 1776, then they all descend ferom the same Benjamin of 1740 Bridgnorth, these are from that line but my uncertainty over the link is possibly making me a little hesitant to expand my tree.
Cheers again, I really do appraciate all the help I am receiving.

just picked up on the recent posts while checking in on my mobile, I will have to have a proper look when I get in but there are definite possibilities there, The EnoCH Paget link sounds very familiar.
will look back in later after I have had a chance to scan through my paperwork.
Thanks again

good evening all,
I have had another trawl through my paperwork and igi and been through the help that you have all provided, and seem to be shying away from the noted Benjamin, born 1771 in amblecote, at the turn of the century, he was glass blowing in Broseley, married to Rebecca which doesn't tie in with my Sarah link. My gut instinct is that he is the son of Benjamin born in lichfield ( where Ben and Sarah married ) in 1801, is there anyone there who could qualify this link for me with the special ways you genealogy gurus have ???thanks in advance,
Gavin
