Sorry new to this. The UK census and Carroll is her maiden name. She married Joseph Tonks from Wednesbury.

Thank you! Yes it is Mary Carroll of Fethard, Co Tipperary. My mother who was Doris Harper (nee Haywood) was her grand daughter and knew that her mother's family came from Co. Tipperary. I got Fethard from the census and also that Joseph one of her children is listed as being born in Templemore, Co Tipperary. I have searched for Mary Carroll on other members trees but so far she's only listed with no one going any further back than her. Thanks everyone for any help!

Hello Lorraine and welcome to the boards.

One of the best things you can do on this site is to put the name and details of the person you are researching into the Search Trees box (above in the dark green bar) to see if anyone else on this site has them in their tree.

I think you will find that several members have Mary from Fethard in their tree so you can contact the tree owners. Enjoy! Cx

Hi Ann

I'm looking in my newspapers for Mary Carroll Fethard. Not found her but found that Fethard is in Co. Tipperary. So maybe Lorraine is looking for Mary Carroll from Fethard, Co.Tipperary. What do you think?

Sorry if it really is Mary Carroll Fethard, Lorraine and Ann.

Off to see if I can see a Mary Carroll.

Ria x

Edit. Found Miss Mary Carroll who is the niece of Martin John Carroll of Coolrus attending a church presentation in Michaelstown in 1862

Not much use really.. Hope someone can find them for your Lorraine.
