MargaretM Report 13 Jul 2011 21:43

It is confusing, isn't it?
The only thing I can suggest is to buy Abraham's birth certificate:

Births Dec 1893 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Trueman Abraham Lanchester 10a 304

Edwin

Edwin Report 13 Jul 2011 22:12

possible then that he is , isabella s brother thanks again ed

MargaretM

MargaretM Report 13 Jul 2011 22:28

But where is he in 1901? I couldn't find him on the census.

This is where most of us search Ed

http://freebmd.org.uk

As it says ..It is free.

Have you tried it?
Click on the page number to see other people on the same page.

And found him on 1901 to see who he was with?

And I do think that you will find it all already on this thread further back?

Edwin Report 17 Jul 2011 19:33

as i cant find a death for hannah trueman ??marriage but i can find death for hannah morley who were together in 1901 census as truemans thanks ed

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 17 Jul 2011 19:39

As posted by Margee.

Marriages Dec 1899

Morley Mary Hannah Lanchester 10a 531
Trueman Robert Lanchester 10a 531

And as Abraham was with the Morleys on 1901 and 1911 I would say that Hannah on 1901 and 1911 used her second name instead of her first name of Mary on census.
The 1899 marriage also fits with them being married 11 years as it says on 1911 and this death fits with her age and Birth name and year of Mary Hannah.

From Freebmd.

Deaths Sep 1926
Trueman Mary H 51 Gateshead 10a 725

Edwin

Edwin Report 17 Jul 2011 20:40

sorry one more problem ,she was alive, in 1950 she was my great grandmother thanks again ed

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 17 Jul 2011 21:57

Mary Hannah Trueman was alive in 1950 when you were 3 years old do you mean?

If you know the year and place of death then why dont you give it please and then we can start searching properly for the refs instead of guessing?

When and where did Robert Trueman c1870 die?
Did she remarry if he died before her?

It would be far better if you give ALL the info you have at the start of a further request for a lookup rather than after as it saves a lot of time.
I dont mind looking at all,but ALL the info is good as I/we dont know what you know unless you tell me/us
Thank you
Fan

Edwin

Edwin Report 17 Jul 2011 22:13

sorry i dont know year of death, i can only think she died stanley which is north west durham where she lived thank you for your help and patience not the brightest ed

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 17 Jul 2011 22:22

Im sorry but the 1926 one is the only one I can see that MAY be her.

I have double checked a Mary J Trueman born C1875 who died in 1963 on 1911 census and Mary J Trueman is on it with her husband...So you know that is NOT her.

Maybe a trip to the local records office to where she died would turn up her death refs?

Edwin

Edwin Report 17 Jul 2011 22:44

forgot to say yes she was alive when i was 12 ? there was 4 generations alive from my niece to hannah thanks again ed

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 17 Jul 2011 22:54

So she died about 1959 then I would think?
All I can suggest is that a trip to the records office may turn something up.

IF she remarried if Robert died before her then she would be indexed under her new married surname.
And I would say that she was your Step Grandmother really as she was not Isabellas or Abrahams mother and had no children with Robert so is therefore not a blood relation?
Unless she had some after 1911 of course, which I have not checked for.

Edwin

Edwin Report 18 Jul 2011 19:44

robert died c1955 hannah would have been 80 ,doubt remarried, but possible, as you say not a blood relation, but a big ? over her death name i thank you again for your:,time doing search, and your patience, espceially with me ,you have the patience of a saint ed

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 18 Jul 2011 21:58

A saint I am not and Patience is not my strong point...So when I start shouting at you, you will understand I hope..

Name: TRUEMAN, Robert
Registration District: Durham North Western
County: Durham
Year of Registration: 1955
Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec
Age at death: 85
Volume No: 1A
Page No: 512

I would suggest that you send for that to get the address from it and to see if Hannah was the informant and if so how she signed herself?

Also as I said before...A trip to the Records office may throw up something.
Or you can ask the Reg Office that Roberts death was reg at to have a search for Hannah or Mary Hannah Trueman at around the time you say she died as she is def not coming up on idex that I and others have access to..

Edwin

Edwin Report 20 Jul 2011 13:47
