FannyByGaslight Report 11 Jul 2011 19:37

Well Hannah and Robert had no children ,but Isabelle was Roberts only child from his first marriage it looks like so why not Isabelles eldest child to inherit if she had died before Hannah and Robert?

Edwin

Edwin Report 11 Jul 2011 19:13

thanks all verry much, he could have been born to isabella as stated ,if so he must have been the blue eyed boy, as when hannah the last survivor died, he was the one to inherit . out of all the family ?????? must remain ?????? all help on this greatly apprecieated ed

FannyByGaslight Report 10 Jul 2011 20:24

Marriages Dec 1912
Trueman Isabella S Wilde Lanchester 10a 686
WILDE Edmund J Trueman Lanchester 10a 686

Are you certain he is not Isabellas?

Or did Isabella have a son called Robert also?
It is all pointing very very strongly to him being born as Robert Trueman Wild/e

So what makes you think he was born as a Trueman?

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 10 Jul 2011 20:17

And would seem to be this one?

Births Mar 1913
Wilde Robert T Trueman Lanchester 10a 647

Being born at the very end of the year he would have been reg in the first quarter of the next year.

And Isabelle was old enough to have actually been his mother?

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 10 Jul 2011 20:10

This one then?

Name: WILD, Robert Trueman
Registration District: Luton
County: Bedfordshire
Year of Registration: 1985
Month of Registration: September
Date of Birth: 30 December 1912
Volume No: 9
Page No: 403
Reg No: 985

So I suspect he was born Robert.??? and had Trueman as his middle name to show his mother knew who his father was..?

Edwin

Edwin Report 10 Jul 2011 20:04

FannyByGaslight

FannyByGaslight Report 10 Jul 2011 19:28

When/where did Robert c1913 die?

This one that matches the birth that Margee posted?

Name: TRUEMAN, Robert Reay
Registration District: Durham Northern
County: Durham
Year of Registration: 1982
Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
Date of Birth: 23 February 1913
Volume No: 1
Page No: 1484

If you send for his birth cert it will tell you for sure who his parents are.
How did you arrive at his birth and name?A little more info may help more.

Keeley1973

Keeley1973 Report 10 Jul 2011 18:21

In 1911 census there is a Robert & Hannah in Lanchester. They say at that time they have been married for 11 years with no children living or dead and they are born c 1870 & c 1875 respectively. Cannot find a marriage for them though at this stage. All Hannah Reays and Robert Truemans seem to have married people with different surnames!

MargaretM

MargaretM Report 10 Jul 2011 18:20

I can't find a Trueman/Reay marriage. Perhaps she was previously married?
