Hi you wonderful researchers, oh and AOGG of course!!
Thank you all so very much for all this research you did while I was "swanning around" Kew!! I am so grateful to you all.
You all came up with the right connections even down to his daughter's death in Scarborough!
Re Norman, I knew he had joined up but to date have no death, possibly died during the bombing of Hull which was very badly hit.
Re Alexander Cameron Crichton's death I think this was his fate as well and not identified as from my research yesterday at Kew he was alive in 1914 but his Mercantile Marine medal ribbon was applied for in 1919 and on his Merchant seamans card he was deceased by 1919. So to answer Flick's question he was a) not a witness but b) he was not registered deceased or dead on the marriage certificate! Someone dropped a boo boo?
Thank you all again sorry I didn' get back to you all last night but was travelling back after accidents on M4!!
Kindest Regards, Cameron
