Kevin, Do you have Walter's marriage cert? Is that where you got his father's name?

Ancestry has the baptism of his son, Charles James. Let me know if you would like details. It also has his marriage( Charles James).

There was another Walter Stark b1835 in Kirkintilloch whose DOB ties up better with the Walter living in London but his father's name was William.

There is this Walter in 1861 - occupation Porter. Could have gone on to be an Engine driver?

Walters dad was James as it says so on the marriage cert.
Walter was an engine driver and lived in west ham, stratford. the above census record must be a miss spell.

Hi Kevin

Yes, the 1861 transcription is wrong - the image isn't very clear but it definitely isn't Harp!

Is James's occupation on the marriage cert?

I am wondering where you got Jean Craig from as Walter's mother?

William ROBERTSON b 1715 Fenwick, Stewarton, Ayrshire, d 1785 Stewarton - my 6x G grandfather.

Can anyone please trace William's wife and children? I have a generation missing from my tree. :-0

Any help will be very welcome. :-D

Minerva

It would be better if you start your own thread for William as your request may go un-noticed on this thread and it would be very confusing to have two families on the same thread - I only looked at it as I have already posted on it.

When you start your thread, please give as much info as you can, ie how you have got back to William.
