The information from the 1911 census that pricklyholly posted is the correct person by the looks of it.

my great grandma is showing as alice mary kate collins street b:1906 who is grandaughter living with head of house earl street. typing error on the collins though as should be collier.

I now know that this alice had no fathers name on the birth cert just mothers name of alice maud street. alice maud and William Collier who were her parents never married but alice mary kate did use the surname of both parents collier-street.

im guessing that as my gt gt grandma who i now understand is alice maud street b: 1886 died in 1907, she could have died giving birth to alice mary kate. also this explains why alice mary kate is living with eli her grand father.

At least we now agree that Alice Mary Street born 1866/1867 Richmond, Surrey is NOT your Grt Grt Grandmother!

It seems that Alice Maud Street did not die giving birth to her daughter "Alice Mary Kate Collier Street" .....because she was born in 1905 and it seems her Mother (Alice Maud Street) died in 1907.

.Alice Maud Streets death cert would confirm the above information.

Your grandmother had siblings. Are any of them still alive to help?

Actually, best stick to certs. We've gone from looking for an Alice MARY Street born 1867 to a Alice MAUD Street born 1886. This is a good example that certs are very important.

Alice Maud Street and William Collier were never married, their daughter was my grandmother - Alice was the daughter of Eli Street and Kate Isabella Mills. Will forward family tree to you Marie.

Kate Isabella is sometimes known as Isabella b:1861 Wandsworth Area
