hi,can anyone look up marriage of a lawrence preston,don,t know who he married,but i have just recieved my husbands grandfathers marriage certificate through the mail,his name is richard thompson born in annan scotland and he married my husbands grandmother mary ada preston on february 26th 1917 in the parish church of st anne in birkenhead,residence at the time of marriage was 139 corporation road birkenhead,my husbands mother said her mother was born in manchester lancashire,so i am presuming lawrence came from that area also,any help with census would also help me out as can,t go any further without this info :-)

The marriage should be on FreeBMD Have you looked for them on any census

You need some backgrond info on them first to pick up the right couple.
