It would have been very unusual I think! Bu 17 not uncommon.
Having said that I can't see a marriage anyway.

Has anyone spotted Alma's birth record? i have looked for Alm Blanche and found only this and it seems too early:

Births Jun 1902 (>99%)
Hinch Alma Blanch Kensington 1a 93

Bit of a puzzler Terry!, notes he had put Single, then crossed through and Married written above on 1911 image.
