help finding info on my granddad

no we cant find anything my dad has found the will naming my grandads sister may hockemhill and a date were my grandad lived in 1941 21 beacham southport but thats i he has found out for me dowt it any use

oh yer that would make more sense than fouglas. it is a strange one it just seems he has appeared out of no were. my dad has told me james came from scotland but that all he knows about his dad. i am hopin it is him just so we know somethin about him. x

I think the "fouglas" should have been DOUGLAS---as in the mothers first name---does that make more sense ? It has been mistranscribed on IGI.

I can't find James D. on the 1901 census. And I'm still not sure its the right James D for you on the other census !!!

this is such a odd family and very random girl called douglas and god knows how there grand parents can be called ALDERSON when the mother was called fouglas jezz lol

i was wondering if any one could find anything out about his farther james douglas birrell born 1878 he is a tuff one he seems to have moved from carlisle scotland married ellen but before that it seems that he has to appeared if you could help with him i would be over the moon thanks x
