St Pancras isn't quite the right area as Ann always has Lambeth as her POB on the census, but the names look like the right family.

Potty

Potty Report 16 Oct 2011 12:04

There is no birth showing in freebmd for a Mary Ann Sophia Lane in 1848 or 1849. There are two Mary Ann Lane in Lambeth in Sep 1849:

Births Sep 1849 (>99%)
LANE Mary Ann Lambeth 4 255
LANE Mary Ann Lambeth 4 *4

I can't find Mary Ann in 1861. A Mary Fendell was one of the witnesses to James and Eliza's marriage. There was also a Robert Simmonds as a witness to Ann Eliza's first marriage - not her father as he was deceased so possibly a brother?

To know for sure if Mary is the daughter of your couple would be to buy her B/C
