Ooh! I don't know which marriage now. Christina's one with the father as Henry Luke Holmes which is prob. Tuke not Luke sounds perhaps more likely. Adelaide though, first time thats come up perhaps she had it changed from Ada or that's the short version. She has had a different name for every census and cert.

Well Ecclesfield is where her Mother came from and where she was staying with her Aunt in a census.

How do you find the newspaper article? Do you have to belong to something?

In all the above records her name is shown as Mary, not Margaret.

Yes v strange as I have found her probate and her name is now Ada Barbara MARY Barry and probate is to her husband John Shafto Barry. Every piece of info is a different name. Mary was her mother's name.
