He is the son of Job Potter and Parnel Tilby D Lilly

He may not be related? just that most of my family,and not just potters lived in gloucester rd.

John potter my GG-grandfather was 23 when married and susan Tullett 20

married 27th Dec 1880 croydon.

His Residence at time of marriage 48 wilford rd croydon. And hers 84 wilford rd croydon.

Her father is Charles Tullett a carpenter

And william potter I can't see writing of his occ/very well. It has Decea can't see rest of writing.

To be honest Julie, I don't think that he is related - I have traced both families back quite a way and cannot see a connection.

Herbert Job's family all seem to come from kent.

The strange thing is though that on 1911 census, John gives Maidstone, Kent as his birthplace. This does not appear on previous census !!!

There may possibly be a distant connection, 'way back' but there does not appear to be a direct link anywhere.

I will take another look at it later today.

John Potter 1856 born Kent married Susan Tullett 1861 born Croydon Surrey. John was a Blacksmith.

John's father was a William Potter. So now I am going to look for John when he was younger.
