No, I don't think the World War 2 Draft reg. card you found for Vincent John Kersting is a 'Red Herring'.

At the Woodlawn Cemetery, she is engraved as Marjory C. Kersting, so you have found the right husband. If she got married late in life, they often find someone older to live with!

On the 1930 US Census, is Vincent Kersting with Louise?
Just trying to eliminate a few more years as to when they were married.

Many thanks for your help

Thank you for the 1920 US census for reference. I did not have a note of her being down as Marjorie Clocker, so have added that to my info.
Would love to find her on the 1930 census or the marriage.

Thank you very much for your help

Jo

Probably a red herring:
U.S. World War II Draft Registration Cards, 1942 about Vincent John Kersting
Name: Vincent John Kersting
Birth Date: 20 Oct 1878
Birth Place: New York City, New Jersey
Residence: Union, New Jersey
Race: White

Lists his wife as Marjory C Kersting. He'd be a LOT older than she is if that's your Marjory! His first wife must have died as I think she shows up as Louise on the various census.

Many thanks for your help with my Marjory. I do actually have the SS Death Index details.
Kersting seems an odd name to me, but I might be wrong.
Again many thanks

I have a Marjorie Clarke who was born 4th July 1902 in Massachusetts, USA.
Her parents were William Henry Clarke b 1861 in UK and Kate Watson b 1868 Richmond, Yorks.

I have Marjorie Clarke on the 1910 census at Warren, Worcester Massachusetts. She was 7 years old and born in USA with her parents and sister age 6.

I also have her on the 1920 census in Jersey City Ward 9, Hudson, New Jersey. I think she lived on Sunset AVenue? Again with her parents, Marjorie was 17 years old.

I have not been able to find her on the 1930 US census, but I think she might have got married between the 1920 and 1930 census and may be under the surname Kersting.

I have her death in Woodlawn Cemetery, NY where she is down as Majory C. Kersting, age 71.

Can anyone give me the details of the 1930 census and when and where she might have married Mr. Kersting.

Many thanks
Jo
