To the best of my knowledge, Margaret, Elizabeth Ellen, Sarah, Charles and Thomas Davies Maldoon were the children of Thomas Maldoon / Muldoon and Elizabeth Davies ~ and Thomas senior and siblings' parents were Charles Maldoon and Margaret Hanon.

i have a new request if anyone can help,i am trying to find the details of deaeth of CHARLES MULDOON he died 1866 in pontypridd wales i believe, and i want to order a death cert, but i have searched the records on this site and cannot find it any help would be appreciated thanks Linda :-(

OMG Mike i am sorry !! i just looked back at the messages and you are right, i don't know where i got that from, i think i am getting mixed up i have a load of bits of paper with names on and slowley adding to tree i must have looked at wrong line on paper, i am still trying to confirm maiden name !!thank you for pointing that out i will edit it ,because any help is good help, thank you MIKE regards Linda

hi Mike,no i didnt say her mother was Margaret,i was saying that my g grandmother was Elizabeth Muldoon who had a sister Margaret (Maggie )and i was trying to find thier mothers maiden name,the 1881 cencus shows Thomas Muldoon from frome somerset and Elizabeth born merhtyr glamorgan thier children charles,thomas davies" elizabeth "and sarah ,this elizabeth could be my ggrandmother,"elizabeth,"but i was informed by another that there was a child called maggie who married constantine svombo, and she not on that cencus she would be 16 in 1881, there are quite a few different muldoons,my g grandmother Elizabeth Muldoon married my ggrandad Alfred John Leeves on 10 october 1885 and she died in tooting london 30 may 1926, still trying to sort out Linda :-S

Where have you got Maggie's mother as being Margaret ?

I don't know anything about Irish ancestors and how to trace them, however if you are living on the doorstep, then you may be able to access the records quite easily. You just need to remember that the surname of Muldoon could be spelt in several different ways, as you have already pointed out!

Thomas Muldoon's parents are shown as Charles Muldoon and Ellen Hanon both born in c1799, Thomas in Silgo, Ireland and Ellen in Dublin.

This could be the Irish connection that you are looking for!!

Another tree on ancestry shows that Thomas Muldoon and Elizabeth Davies were married at Merthyr Tydfil in 1858, children as follows:

Margaret born 1859, Pontypridd
Charles born 1861
Thomas Davies born 1866
Elizabeth Ellen born 1869
Sarah born 1871

i think this is my ggrandmother i am confused on the surname spelling, is it MALDOON or MULDOON ? :-S I will have to get birth certs i think the name Maldoon 1886 looks right but so does Muldoon :-( :-S

The 1881 Wales Census states that Elizabeth (mother of Elizabeth & Margaret was born in Glamorgan.

You will probably have to order the birth certificate for one of Elizabeth's children to find what her maiden name was before marriage.

Just taken a look at ancestry trees and it states on there that Elizabeth's maiden name was DAVIES, her parents are Thomas Davies (Born South Wales) and Margaret Llewellyn (born South Wales)

Did Maggie and Elizabeth have the same mother ?

If so buy your Gt grandmother's birth cert listed above and it will tell you mother's maiden name
