Mind you, Robert Wright Fullard looks interesting but I can't pin him down in the 1911 census and can' t find a death either?

Only way to find out would be to buy the certificate.

thanks so much, I definately think it has to be, as there is no record of a james helly fellard born in gateshead. You have also proven to me how easy it is to follow the wrong family. i cant thank you enough!!

All I can say is, thank goodness for that * wild card!

I searched on FMP using F*d and didn't have to look far until I saw Helly which must be Kelly.

I have requested corrections to the entries on FMP because I am certain it is Fullard and Kelly.

Will wait to see what FMP say????

Eleanor fullard is a name that has been passed down in generations, could definately be a possibility - i will let you know, thankyou

Stacey - some of our ancestors are just very good at hiding.

There's all sorts of reasons why we can't see him straight away - the name might have been mistranscribed, maybe his mother had remarried, the family might have been staying with other people and been recorded under that family's name, the census pages may have been lost or destroyed - that's just some of the examples we find.

If we know the father's name and occupation, and the mother's maiden name, it gives us a fighting chance of tracking him down. (Plus, the old certificates are great to have as part of your records).

Stacey, if you guess at this stage you could follow the wrong family. You really need to get that certificate.

I honestly don't think Simon is his father. On the 1911 census Simon and Henrietta are shown with 2 children - Eleanor Maud & John Henry. On the original image of the census they say they have had 2 children, both still alive - so that's the two that are with them.

If James Kelly Fullard was their child then they'd be saying they had three.
