As said above, the 1881 census is free to view on several sites. In it his mother is given as Amelia. If you use freebmd you should be able to find their marriage. |

According to his WW1 records he was 37 when he enlisted in 1915 making him born ca. 1878. His address was 11 Victor Rd., Willesden. he was a carriage cleaner. |
