	I think the name Kernot could also be Kernutt as there are trees on Ancestry with kernot as kernutt. Maryb.

	Sorry Quoy,I can't find the thread,but I have been in contact with 2 people who have Vashti Smith 1816 Tadley. If you Google the name Vashti it says it is a Romany/Gypsy name. There were lots of Romany/Gypsy families in the Tadley area at that time. Maryb

	Vashti Ann Smith baptised 1/12/1816 by Jonathan Smith born @ 1793 and Kesia Kernutt, in Tadley. I remember the name Vashti from another thread. I believe they were Romanys,but please double check. Maryb

	Its the transcribers interprtation of what he/she thinks is written. In fairness the writing is bad, it could be many things! Andy

	Now I looked at that and thought no way but with the 1851 I can see that it is correct but why / how Kunda ? I was replying to the 1841 you put up The name Keziah appears throughout the family so worth looking into
