your parent birth reg will give her maiden name so you will know if she was a spinster on marriage

The marriage cert is going to be your best bet as a starter as it will give her age at marriage and her dads name if known

Morning everyone,
I am trying to find the birth of Ada M Miller/Millar. She married my Grandad Walter Sidney Heavens in Lewes, East Sussex in Dec 1937,
vol 2b pg 477 his registration of Marriage says Miller, Ada's says Millar!
I know she was a lot younger than Walter, his year of birth was 1877 in Lewes.
Ada had 2 children prior to marrying Walter, there names are Charlie Miller/ Millar and Mollie Miller/Millar. I was told this by my cousin who knew them, she met them regularly as a child, she says they were born in the 1920's but doesn't know where, she also says she doesn't know if Ada was married to a Miller or if that was her maiden name.

I have sent off for my Grandads marriage certificate but was wanting to find Ada's birth and when she died if possible.

I have been searching for a while for all 3 of these people without success.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Many thanks for taking time to read my post.
Dolly.
