IF you have the 1851 for TUNMORE, perhaps you'd post it here.............

Jayne

Jayne Report 26 Dec 2011 12:41

Dea,

I found the census - but it shows 1851 as William Tunmore, not Simmons, but if there might be a link to the family, it would be really great to see where it fits?

Dear Flick and Dea,
I'm sorry if you thought I'd lost the plot - and didn't mean to offend anyone in any way - I did get the address of Woodbastwick Road, and the info I found during research states the name of Tunmore .... and it's still in my file, but maybe I will have to look again at it later and have a rethink.
Thanks for your help - I really do appreciate it.
Best wishes
Jayne

Dear Flick and Dea,
This is what I downloaded from the census return:
1851 Census: 50 Woodbastwick Road, Blofield
William Tunmore aged 40 years b. 1811 Blofield Norfolk (Ag lab)
Martha wife aged 35 years b. 1816 Brundall Norfolk
William son aged 15 years b. 1836 Blofield Norfolk (Ag Lab)
Francis son aged 14 years b. 1837 Blofield Norfolk (Ag Lab)
Henry son aged 10years b. 1841 Blofield Norfolk
Sarah dtr aged 7 years b. 1844 Blofield Norfolk
John son aged 2 years b. 1849 Blofield Norfolk
I can see that you might think I have lost the plot, but have reviewed the research given to me by another member and it does look like this was wrong?
Sorry - but thanks for all of your help.

If you got the 1851 from FMP, it may be that, since you downloaded it, corrections have been submitted and implemented..........

FMP actually change the transcriptions, unlike Ancestry, who merely post the corrections

Well - there are Tunmores born Blofield and Braydestone in the 1851 census, living Blofield or Braydestone - I think this is the nearest reference that has anything to do with the original post !!!
BUT no Williams b 1811 nor children of the right names/ages. The family are not recorded anywhere as Tunmore in 1841 but the SIMMONS are in Blofield

Hello again Jayne. I was drawn to this after helping on your different Tunmore thread.

I concur with what the others said, the 1851 census for 50 Woodbastwick Road is most definitely Simmons - both on FMP and Ancestry.

If you've come across the family at that address whilst searching for known ancestors, then who were you searching for?
