I know Joseph was born in Northumberland, and not Durham |

Even if she was 18 when she married her first child was born when she was approx 40? so that is why I said maybe there were more children which had perhaps married before 1841 or died? |

Could be the birth date is not accurate, and using that as a guide etc |

Seems strange to marry in1789 aged approx 13 and not start having children until almost 40? as most families back then had at least 10 children...whether they lived or not , thats another story? |

Could they not have had more children that had moved out by 1841? |

The family as mentioned above are all in the 1841 census: Joseph, Ann, Elizabeth, Robert, Jane and Ann. |

I too am thinking that the first Ann died and Joseph has re-married to another Ann. It just seems strange that the birth dates of the children are so much later than the original marriage. |

On the 1841, Ann could be anything up to 69 years old. |

Looking at the dates of birth of the children ie 1815-1822, I'm wondering if Joseph married a different Ann???? |

I am not a 100% sure if Joseph died in 1835 as he is mentioned in the 1841 census, it would seem impossible |

If this is the marriage, it states that Ann is a Minor (so birth of 1776 is a possibility)...unfortunately no father's names! |

I know you are looking for Ann but I've come across this baptism for Joseph Bewick which, if you haven't got it, may be of interest |
