Until 1875, there were no penalties for not registering births, so you may find that hers wasn't registered

Where does it say she was born in 1901,1881 and 1871? This is what we really need.

You might like to examine closely the dates of the marriages..because the only Caroline Cripps who fits/was baptised at Chaddlesworth Berkshire 14.07.1861..daughter of Charles and Hannah.

The only reason I offer this is because the baptism date oftenn gave no indication at all as to Birth Date.......she could indeed have been married up t several years before she was baptised........was common practice..depending on the availability of a priest who might only visit a given Parish Church very rarely..........many children were baptised together weeks..months or years after birth....

Carolines maiden name was Cripps. Her first marriage was in 1869 to Alfred Palmer they had a child Frederick whos birth was registered in the march quarter 1871. Alfreds death was registered in the September quarter 1870 and he was given as 30 yrs old.

Her second marriage was in 1872 to Charles Clifford and his death is registered in theJune quarter 1874 and he was given as 39yrs old.

Her third marriage was to William Major in 1875 and their first child Mary Ann was born in 1875.

I am wondering if anyone can help me find the birth of Caroline Cripps?

Caroline was born around 1852 giving her age as 39 on the 1891 census. Caroline married for the first time in 1869 in Wantage, Berkshire/ Oxfordshire and she gives her place of bith as Berkshire on the 1891 census. Both her 2nd and 3rd marriages took place in Newbury, Berkshire/ Hampshire and the deaths of husbands one and two were also registered in Newbury.
