I have just managed to get back....havent had time to digest the new posts yet ..had to go Bollywood dacing last night!!!

She really was the unmentioned one in the family..my nana..Sarah Lawson never mentioned her and it was only a few years ago my aunt acknowledged her existence..very sad.
I know she never got on with her biological father and probably spent her childhood with the Drabbles.

They'd had 4 children, all still alive.

She was only 4 in 1901 and using the name Wright......dont think she would have changed her name, under any circumstances!

Not sure anyone can help until you have some more factual info. Maybe start with the info you have certificates for, ie: how did you get to Bessie/Elizabeth?

Where is the marriage for her parents?

Elizabeth or Bessie was never mentioned by my grandmother and apart from one photo given by my aunt , I have nothing.
I have ust found a marriage in 1938 - Gwilym Jones and Bessie Wright but who knows?????
It has been an unsolved puzzle for years and I keep coming back to it

Its all very complicated!
Fathers name was Lowe but changed to Lawson.
Wright was mothers maiden name and after falling out with her father she dropped the Lawson ( I think).
Land girl in ww1 and casualty of air raid in ww2
Alot of this is heresay so I apologise.
