I do not have any credits, i asked my friend to use the last of there credits to find it for me, as i didnt want to bother you lot again.
Yes i remember you saying that then i thought that she would have given birth to alice ten years before her marriage (to who i thought was a george?) white.

Genes wouldnt have deleted it unless it breached any T&C,s and they would have informed you.

Have looked on MY Threads , which is how you find any thread you have contributed too but its gone .

Anyway not having a go at you :-D Just trying to guide you on how things work on here

Would suggest you get some certs to see if any match up. Unfortunately this family researching costs money . .not every answer will immediately show on line.

Good luck

:-D xx

Groan, groan groan!!

So much information deleted on those other threads! So much time wasted!

Are you certain that the Alice Mary who married James in 1927 is the same Alice Mary mother of Zoe?

Zoe's mother was Alice Mary Thursby late White formerly Offord. Please confirm that is what is on Zoe's birth registration.
If that is correct it would indicate that her birth, if registered, was recorded as Alice mary Offord.

These are the possible births on FreeBMD.

Births Mar 1868 Offord Alice Mary Portsea 2b 413
Births Dec 1874 Offord Alice Mary Hartismere 4a 554
Births Jun 1881 OFFORD Alice Mary Poplar 1c 685

This looks like a possible marriage for the first one

Marriages Mar 1887
Kemp Henry Portsea 2b 596
Offord Alice Mary Portsea 2b 596
Silsby Eliza Portsea 2b 596
WHITE George Portsea 2b 596

And for the second one

Marriages Jun 1900
Offord Alice Mary Hartismere 4a 1597
Robinson George Hartismere 4a 1597

There is also this marriage

Marriages Jun 1904
Fisher Albert Arthur Tendring 4a 1121
MILLAR Robert James Tendring 4a 1121
Offord Alice Mary Tendring 4a 1121
Sherman Florence Ellen Tendring 4a 1121

The Alice that married James Thursby in 1927 gave her age as 51 which would indicate a birth c1876. This would fit nearest to the Alice born in Hartismere but she married a Robison.

The other interesting thing to note is that there is only 1 Thursby mmn Offord birth, that of Zoe. So can we be sure that the twoAlice Marys are the same person or in fact two different ladies?

And, all of what you were saying was what is on the forms, yes. I have Zoes Birth certificate, Alices, 2nd of 3rd marriage to james, and My gran (zoes second child) birth certificate.

This looks like the Alice Mary Offord who married George White. So she is possibly the one born in 1868 so probably too old to be your Alice and too young to be the mother of your Alice?

Yes that could possibly be that alice.
Do you think that she is of no relevance to the alice that i am looking for?

Also, She may not have been able to be my alices mom, as it looks like there are children. Not one is called Zoe. We are looking for Zoes mom.

Long shot but.... did she sign the marriage cert or put a cross ?

I have been able to match some of my people up (or eliminate them) by comparing handwriting from certificates and census forms.
