Hi Potty

Just realized what you said, your right.
John and Catherine were his parents not his Grandparents.
I'm getting muddled now.
I don't have the parents of John 1796 , but Catherine's were William and Catherine Humphrey son 1772 and she had a sister called Charlotte 1797 all born shropshire.

It just shows how bogged down you get sometimes

Ancestry have the 1851 George transcribed as Boonifield - which is what it looks like on the image.

Hi Potty

Just found it that could well be Broomfield but it diffinately says Audley not Audlem.

But the one underneath him on the Census says born Audlem I wonder if they got them the wrong way round?

Hi Dea

Potty found this one as well it could be him, date of birth a bit out though.
I think it says Broomfield.
Wish I knew where he was in 1841 because he would have been a child.

Well not quite a child, Cheryl, for those days. He is probably working somewhere nearby. If you have the time, you could search through all the images of the place where his parents are living - he might just show up!

As there are only 9 images for the 1841, I had a quick look through. Can't find George, but could this be another brother?:

1841 England Census
about William Bramfield
Name: William Bramfield
Age: 15
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1826
Gender: Male
Where born: Cheshire, England

Civil parish: Audlem
Hundred: Nantwich
County/Island: Cheshire
Country: England

Street Address:

Occupation: View image

Registration district: Nantwich
Sub-registration district: Wrenbury
Neighbors: View others on page
Piece: 116
Book: 20
Folio: 10
Page Number: 15
Household Members: Name Age
Jane Roberts 20
Harriet Roberts 8 Mo
William Bramfield 15
Hannah Felcock 13

The age on the image is a bit of a mess. It could be 18.

I now have a copy of the Marriage Certificate for George Broomfield/George Bromfield

Cant read names of witness very well but neither are Broomfield.

There seems to be a difference in his age between the marriage cert and the one you think he is in the 1861 - 27 in 1859 would make him 29 in 1861 not 33. Also, is a sawyer the same as a carpenter? Is "your" John ever described as a carpenter?
