Well, if John was his natural son and he was born in 1887, that would suggest Thomas was alive in 1887.

We have a possible Mary A a Widow in 1891, so there's a very small window to fit into.

I'm wondering if the 1881 Thomas is yours? There is a death for a John Joseph Harrington aged 2 in 1882 Poplar, that fit's the John on the 1881.

Could Mary have died too?

There are very few Stevedore's and i would imagine as it's a dock worker trade, it's a fairly skilled one?

The only Thomas Harrington, Stevedore on the 1891 census is a young lad. I cannot find anyone else that matches?

It's just a shame the 1884 marriage isn't online.... altho it probably is and i cannot find it....yet!

Someone will post it if it's about!!!

Tracey,

OK, so you might want to get the 1884 marriage cert.

It's possible that is him in 1881...

....and he's remarried in 1884?

Could something have happened to this Mary and/or John?

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 5 Mar 2012 16:29

NO not yet....

Look at the 1891. Who is Rachel Paston?.... she's listed as Mary's mother. Was Mary originally a Paston?

I have to say looking at the original it doesn't look like Paston, more like Parten maybe?

Looking for a marriage that fits now.
