I am not sure what you mean by the same family.
Edmund was the son of a John and Mary but there were lots of Grindrods there and how do they tie in with William and Catherine? :-S

Edmund Grindrod (1786-1842)
Edmund Grindrod was born near Rochdale in Lancashire. He was converted as a teenager and became a local preacher in 1805, a year before entering the Wesleyan ministry.

As superintendent of the Leeds circuit, Grindrod was actively involved in defence of the Connexion during the Leeds Organ dispute of 1827-28.

Grindrod served as President of Conference in 1837 and just before his death, published a compendium of the regulations governing Wesleyan Methodism.

Authors," the Rev . Edmund Grindrod was
born at Clay Lane, near Rochdale, 28th FebVOL . 3.-Part 35.162
ruary, 1786, and died in London 1st May,
1842 . He was a Wesleyan minister and was
the author of various pamphlets . I shalt be
pleased to have a more detailed account of th :s
local author .
