i kow in the 1861 census it looks like william worrall was living in darlaston as a lodger and was working as a coal miner.on the marriage cert i got of him its got him as a miner and also profession of father is miner.

ok will look into that,just took me off track with the marriage cert sayin his fathers name was william worrall and his profession was a miner

found them on 61 census and no william living with them,would that explain why he was in darlaston on 61 census as a lodger and working as a coal miner which ties into his occupation on the marriage cert

The family you posted for 1851 has Father Thomas not William, and not a coal miner.

Hugh appears to be the son of Noah and Priscilla from 1867 and 1871 censuses.

He certainly wouldn't be the first to do so.

Right guys I've had the birth cert of phebe come through today.her father is Owen Worrall a miner and mother Anne Worrall formally ball.so this looks good enough to be be Williams parents.what you think?

well what ive found is owen died when william was 2 and phebe was 3ish so they wouldn't of known there father and looks like ann died before william got married so it looks like he just used his own name in father on marriage cert
