Aspen Report 26 May 2012 22:45

The 1901 census had Alexander on it. He was David's son. David was on the Griffiths Valuation 1857 as was Alexander. David died 1872. :-(

If they were in Ireland in 1849 then there likely to be no Census

Aspen Report 26 May 2012 22:06

My GGGt Grandfather was David Spence and to the best of my knowledge, his wife was Elizabeth. They did have one child born in Scotland and the rest in Ireland according to the 1901 census. Alexander his son, my GGt grandfather stated, born in Donegal, where Thomas stated Scotland. I know that Alexander was married in 1849 in Raphoe Donegal, but don't know where in Donegal he was born. David and Elizabeth had the last 2 children in Raphoe Donegal.
This is why I am trying to rule Elizabeth White in or out.
I have a Elizabeth death 1883
I have David death 1872 both in Donegal. :-(

If it is them, there are unlikely to be children later in view of her age.
