Gins-I'm no expert on that area (obviously!!) but it looks like Blanche was coming home to 240 3rd Street Dunellen,NJ in 1933. Maybe the Washington Ave address was a shop of some kind?

Anyway,I looked through (Middlesex County NJ):
12-15 DUNELLEN BOROUGH BOUNDED BY (N) GREEN BROOK; (E) JEFFERSON AV; (S) 1ST, MADISON AV, 2ND; (W) BOROUGH LIMITS

with no joy. Doesn't mean they weren't there-just means I didn't see them.

Ouch,Gins. He's a tough one. Besides the question of looking for George/Ronald and the Jones issue, there's also the possibility he could be fostered out with a different name. I know you know this-just making excuses.....

I guess this is him?
U.S. World War II Army Enlistment Records, 1938-1946 about George R Jones
Name: George R Jones
Birth Year: 1925
Race: White, citizen (White)
Nativity State or Country: New Jersey
State of Residence: U.S. at large

It doesn't state WHERE he enlisted and I don't like that "US at large" indication at all.
